Losing Streak Snapped By Comeback Win

The losing streak is over, Nicklas Lidstrom and Jakub Kindl returned to the lineup and a few more of their teammates are nearing return; all positive signs for the Detroit Red Wings.

Detroit ivercame a 4-1 deficit late in the second period to come out on top 5-4. Henrik Zetterberg scored twice and Todd Bertuzzi, Drew Miller and Jiri Hudler also scored. Jiri Tlusty scored twice, and Jamie McBain, and Chad LaRose had singles for Carolina.

The Wings were down 4-1 with Carolina looking at a three goal lead at the second intermission when Bertuzzi and Zetterberg scored to make it a one goal game with only a few minutes left in the second period.

In the third, the Wings were relentless, firing a total of 50 shots at Cam Ward. Hudler deflected a Brad Stuart shot to tie the game, and Drew Miller won it with nine minutes to go. Ty Conklin made 20 saves in the win.

Detroit is looking at having more injured players back in a few days including Jonathan Ericsson and Jimmy Howard.

The Red Wings take on Columbus in their next tilt.

So glad to hear that we were able to turn this one around. Losing 6 straight was just not acceptable. Ericsson, you can take a little more time off. Howard please get back ASAP

I guarantee he gets sent back. Detroit never gets guys up unless for injuries in the playoffs (ex Helm in 08 and Abdelkader in 09)
