Brian Lashoff Signs Three-Year Extension

Red Wings fans are not the only one impressed with Brian Lashoff's performance in his 15  games this season. It appears that Lashoff has attracted the attention of the Detroit Red Wings, who have extended Lashoff's contract to three years.

Lashoff has had three points in 15 games this season. Signed as an entry-level free agent in 2008, the defenseman had played consistently with the Grand Rapid Griffins in the AHL. Lashoff made his NHL debut back in January, where he also made his first NHL goal. The 22 year old trended on Twitter almost instantly, which began the love from fans that he still carries today.

Lashoff plays about 19 minutes a game, being a huge help with penalty kills and power plays. We look forward to watching Brian Lashoff continue his development with the Detroit Red Wings. Congrats on the extension, Lashoff.

Brain Lashoff and the Detroit Red Wings will play their next game on Wednesday at 10:30pm. Follow our Twitter for live discussion of the game and like our Facebook for more Wings coverage!
