Weary Wings Battle The Blues

Detroit faces St Louis for the third time tonight, hoping to break their tied record of 1-1 and steal two needed points.

It is hard to make a prediction of the game, since the Wings are so back and forth. One night Detroit wins, the next night results in a loss. It is safe to assume this will be the pattern for the majority of the season. To make matters more unpredictable, goalie Petr Mrazek will make his NHL debut in tonight's game.

Many are saying that Mrazek will have a great start tonight, since he has really done well in the past. He is currently 16-7-1 for the Griffins. Howard will most likely be thankful for the break.

Jakub Kindl and Patrick Eaves are scratches. The injury list for the Wings is looking longer, with Brendan Smith, Darren Helm, Jonas Gustavsson, Carlo Colaiacovo, Mikael Samuelsson, and Jan Mursak all being out of tonight's game.

The Wings won their last game against the Blues. If you can recall, Henrik Zetterberg had a hat trick and Detroit came out on top at 5-3. However, St Louis has lost their last two games. They will most likely come out tonight at their home ice with guns blazing and fighting for a win. The Wings have also lost frequently, so it is possible we will see a good fight tonight.
